Portraits

My focus is on candid photography.  It is the art of capturing fleeting moments which exist without a posed appearance. Minimal direction is normally provided, though the best photographs are normally achieved by capturing subjects which are unfettered by the bonds of an awkward pose or unnatural behavior. For this reason, complicated lighting setups and busy studios are counterproductive.  I mainly use available light, with the help of a reflector, diffuser, or fill-flash when needed.
